This was one of those days when everyone at home was oooing and ahhhhing about how nice the Spring weather was. It was about 4below zero (Fahrenheit) here - and as you can see, it was snowing.
We've started a count down calendar of sorts. It is more a bunch of pictures that we drew and colored, and hung on the wall. I did take the inside cardboard from a TP roll and a roll of paper towels, cut it apart and color the pieces. Then, we taped those pieces together - one for each remaining day (I think) we'll be here. We have a ring count down until we go to Moscow, and then a few more until we fly home. Here are some pics of it (there are rings below the 'Moscow' picture too)
In going through this drawing exercise, we learned that Anya is a very good artist. Here she is, deep in thought, creating a masterpiece:

It is always neat to hear about your day. I can relate to the bath issues as a result of foster kids. They generally loved baths. Would sometimes want to take them several times a day.
One of the best things about being a parent is encouraging talent! There are so many different art classes in the area either through the parks department or art league! We also did some through Midwest Museum one time. The kids loved the classes and they were fairly small.
Did you go into the "Friends House"? We actually did once but they didn't have an english menu and no one wanted to admit they spoke english so we left and went to the Julian Cafe (or something like that) up the road some where they had english and pictures on the menu.
I just LOVE how one of maybe a dozen english signs in IRK is "Friends House" and that it's so close to the apartment that we saw it often! :)
She really has a gift of drawing...
I'm sure Marty will nurture that.
