Her name is Anya Frrrrrriend

Yep - We have an official adoption decree, a birth certificate AND a colorful wall hanging that says so. We think the wall hanging made it official.

This morning, we went to the grocery store, the bank, and the birth certificate office, and the passport photo place.

Andrew showed Anya her birth certificate, and Anya sounded out her new name. She is really a very good reader!

Back at the apartment, Anya and Daddy decided to play Uno. In the middle of the game, Anya asked "what is my name"? She was serious...not as in "your name is Ice Cream, silly!", but as in "I can't remember my name". Daddy said "Anya Friend" - the look on her face was priceless, as if she was committing it to memory. That was about the time Daddy decided to write it down for her.
