Last night, Steve took us to the grocery store. We stocked up on some necessities. The apartment bascially had nothing, so we had to get everything from milk, water, salt, sugar, to cereal and bread. THere are a few things we didn't get, we'll try go pick those up at a market today.
It is a sunny day outside, and we're a little stir crazy from being inside for almost 2 weeks. Our plan is to head out and walk along the Angara (river), head up Karl Marx street (the main road in downtown...our apartment is right off of that road) stop at a market and maybe go to that nice cafe for lunch. Debbie, it might be the Snowflake, not sure. It is near the Adidas store, next door to the Japanese place.

great pics! and she is so darn cute :-) do they have reg grocery stores..for some reason just wondering what they were like. so glad the sun is out for you, enjoy!

The little market next to the cafe directly across the street from the apt has water at a little cheaper price than the market and you don't have to carry it as far. But always doesn't have so stock up if you see it. The water usually got restocked on Tuesdays. Eggs get restocked on Thursday. :) Check the "tourism guide" for the pix of the place. Also the deli under the stadium - again refer to my guide - had good ready to go or ready to heat food items but the english speaking there was spotty at best. Sometimes a customer could help out :)
